Life can change in the blink of an eye.
A future full of hope and purpose can become endless days of despair and regret in the wake of a tragedy. Anticipation of living the Greater Dream can give way to a mundane existence of settling for less if we lose our way.
But it doesn’t have to be that way.
There are no internships in life. We only get the one opportunity. Sometimes it seems like outside circumstances can alter the course of our days without us having any say in the matter. But that’s not entirely true.
Our unwritten tomorrows are shaped by what we write into our lives today. The choices we have today are built on what we wrote into our lives yesterday. Even our response to tragedy – our moment-by-moment decisions on how we walk forward out of even life-changing catastrophe – comes out of the values and principles we’ve already embraced. Our steps forward into the unwritten tomorrows are guided by what we’ve already written into our lives up to this point.
And it’s never too late to choose what we write today.
Do we want to be able to look back on a life of no regrets? Do we long to be whole? Do we want to find again that hope for living the greater dream, for getting back on track with the things that really matter?
The choice remains ours. Our life can still count. Where we go from here, how our unwritten tomorrows are shaped, starts afresh with what we choose right now.
